Tonight, on the 16 of August our Syndicate are presenting a showcase evening, of what we can do. We've been practicing for months, and now we are now ready to perform our Showcase to our parents.
These are all of the things we are going to show off...
Three groups of students, choreographed a dance. Each was different types of dance. The boys dance was a mix of everything. Techno, hiphop, jazzy. The first girls dance was with pop music, and was a jazz dance. The second girls dance was lyrical/contemporary, and then hiphop at the end. We all enjoyed watching the dance groups.
Now, the drama was pretty interesting. Different types of drama/acting. There was theatre sports, by two groups. The girls was hands interview. There are four people (in this case three) that interview each other. The subject has to be a vegetable that plays a sport. Instead of having their own hands, they have another persons hands. The boys theatre sports was space jump. Where somebody has to yell out SPACE JUMP! And then the person in the scene has to freeze and another person of the group comes in, and keep doing that until they have reached the core of the group members, and then they make their way out again by somebody yelling out SPACE JUMP! A solo girl did a selection of monologes from movies. (Notting Hill, School of Rock, and The Addams Family) And finally, the fairytale, the goldylocks. With a twist. That is the drama groups for you.
drama, music & photos(we create our own music on our laptops, then put it with photos from the internet), the band performing, inquiries, the hotseat (which is when a number of students sit in chairs at the front of the room, and the audience asks them about their learning), speeches, monet paintings, the band performing, and a young leaders day presentation.
I think it will be an exciting experience and I can't wait till tonight.
